Mwanga Afrika Cables Learnership Programme
On Tuesday, 02 December 2025, we gathered at Southern Sun Maharani Hotel in Durban to honor and celebrate 47 graduates who successfully completed the Mwanga Afrika Cables Learnership Programme in Power and Telecommunication Cables Manufacturing.
The ceremony marked a defining milestone in the careers of our learners and reaffirms our unwavering commitment to talent management, training and development as a cornerstone of our strategic business vision.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Hon. MEC Rev Musa Zondi of the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs in KwaZulu-Natal for their invaluable support from the inception of this programme in June 2024 to its successful conclusion. Our partnership has been instrumental in ensuring that learners not only gain technical expertise but also secure pathways to meaningful employment and long-term contribution to the economy.
The celebrations demonstrated the power of collaboration between government and business in tackling South Africa’s youth unemployment challenges. Such partnerships are vital in building a social compact that drives inclusive growth, empowering young people with skills, and strengthening the nation’s industrial future.
Congratulations to our graduates!
You are pioneers of a new generation of skilled cable technicians and torchbearers who will take Mwanga Afrika Cables to its destined levels and power South Africa’s industrial and technological transformation.
